Suspect arrested in connection with Roger’s Park shooting

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Warrant Division located and apprehended Javian Boykin, 18, of Orange, Texas on Sunday, March 22 in connection with the shooting that occurred at Roger’s Park, March 15. He was taken into custody and charged with Deadly Conduct, a Third-Degree Felony.

Prison officer sentenced for trafficking drugs

Martel Devante Gilliam, 22, of Beaumont, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone on March 11.

Three suspects of Rogers Park and Marshall Middle School shootings apprehended

On March 15, at approximately 6:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to Rogers Park located at 1455 N. Dowlen Rd. in reference to shots fired. Through further investigation, it was revealed that two adult victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition for medical treatment.
