Three suspects of Rogers Park and Marshall Middle School shootings apprehended

On March 15, at approximately 6:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to Rogers Park located at 1455 N. Dowlen Rd. in reference to shots fired. Through further investigation, it was revealed that two adult victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition for medical treatment. Multiple residences in the area were also struck by gunfire, reported the Beaumont Police Department (BPD). 

Soon after, it was discovered that Marshall Middle School was also struck by gunfire in relation to the Rogers Park shooting, BPD reported March 16. BPD detectives have obtained three warrants for deadly conduct for Dontae Perkins, 19; Christopher Herring, 18; and Alexander Perkins, 18.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO)'s Warrant Division located and apprehended Perkins, the BPD’s Special Assignment Unit (SAU), located and apprehended Herring and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office's (JCSO) Warrant Division located and apprehended Alexander Perkins.

BPD detectives are working in conjunction with Beaumont ISD PD and JCSO to identify and locate additional suspects. Updates will be provided as they become available.
