TxDOT to host educational luncheon May 21

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will host an Update Luncheon, May 21 at the Robert A. "Bob" Bowers Civic Center. Participants will learn about the progress of road construction projects and their timelines along our major roadways in and around Southeast Texas.

Stark Museum of Art to present America 250 exhibition

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Stark Museum of Art will present its new exhibition: America 250: Three Presidents - Lincoln, Grant, and Garfield. This exhibition features three watercolor paintings by Taos artist Oscar E. Berninghaus.

McFaddin Ward House to host 'Antique Rose Emporium' lecture May 7

The McFaddin-Ward House Museum will host its next lecture, “Preserving the Past, Cultivating the Future: The Antique Rose Emporium Journey,” presented by Jim Keeter Jr. on Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the Museum’s Visitor Center Lecture Hall (1906 Calder Avenue, Beaumont).

Biology major tapped for presentation

April 20, the Lamar University Department of Biology announced that Biology student Mohamed Irhabi has been selected to present his David J Beck Fellowship supported research work at the “Baylor University Research Symposium,” alongside students from Baylor, A&M, UT, and Rice.

Activate the Park event to take place April 25
