Police investigating early morning stabbing in Beaumont

A stabbing victim is recovering from an early Friday morning stabbing in Beaumont. Police were called to the 3700 block of East Lucas around 2:45 am and found the victim bleeding from a stab wound. Officers administered first-aid until EMS arrived.

Shooter arrested for aggravated assault

Aug. 26, at approximately 9:56 a.m., BPD officers responded to the 1400 block of Magnolia Street in reference to a reported shooting.Upon arrival, officers reportedly located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

A $500,000 bond has been set  been set on a Beaumont man charged in the death of another man. Police were called to the Sunlight Manor Apartments in the 2900 block of 8th Street Saturday morning Aug 29. When they arrived, 28-year-old Alejandro Richard was on top of an unresponsive man.

Hill sentenced to 40 years in prison

A Jefferson County jury has sentenced a Beaumont to 40 years in prison. The same jury convicted 23-year-old Treylyn Hill for a July 2024 shooting in North Beaumont. Hill met the victims in parking lot in the 7100 block of Eastex Freeway in Beaumont to purchase a rifle.

Orange man arrested for hit-and-run fatality

On Sunday, Aug 23, 64-year-old Kimberly Viator, of Port Arthur, was struck by a vehicle as she was crossing the road in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive in Port Arthur. The vehicle left the scene. On Thursday, Aug 27, Port Arthur police arrested 45-year-old Dekobi LeRay Fisher, of Orange.

Suspect in custody for shooting

Police have a suspect in custody for a Beaumont shooting. Police were called to the 1400 block of Magnolia just before 10:00 Wednesday morning, Aug 26. The victim was found in the street. He was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Man arrested for indecency

On Monday, Aug 24, Beaumont police responded to a call of a man exposing himself in a sexually act in the 3600 block of 4th Street. The act was witnessed by several children. The suspect, 43-year-old Dedric Earl Cummings, appeared to be directing the act towards the children.
