Port Neches felon sentenced for federal firearms violation

June 22, a Port Neches felon was sentenced to federal prison for a firearms violation in the Eastern District of Texas, according to U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs.

Jordan Lee Davis, 36, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Michael Truncale.

According to information presented in court, Jan. 1, 2025, Port Neches police officers were investigating a possible assault at Davis’ residence when they found him in possession of a loaded revolver.

Further investigation revealed Davis had previous felony convictions in Jefferson County. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms.
