A Kirbyville man is jailed in connection of stolen firearms. 37-year-old Jacob Jones was arrested on Oct 1, 2026 after 13 stolen firearms were recovered following the execution of a search warrant. Jones is charged with theft of a firearm, which is a State Jail Felony.
According the the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, Jones sold one of the stolen firearms to an unknown buyer on Sept 2, 2026. Jones was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
The investigation continues as in September the victim reported 20-30 firearms had been stolen from his residence. Additional arrests could folllow.
