An aggravated robbery trial at the Jefferson County Courthouse lasted three days with a conviction and sentence. 25-year-old Marvin Parker was sentenced to 40 years in prison for his involvement in the attack and robbery of a man on December 23, 2023 in the 3700 block of East Lucas in Beaumont.
The victim hit with fists and a pistol when two men jumped out of a car and robbed him of over $700. The other suspect, says it was Parker that used the gun in the attack. The victim and his girlfriend identified Parker as one of the attackers through a photo lineup.
Parker will serve a 2 1/2 year federal sentence on a prior firearms conviction before he heads to state prison for the 40 year sentence. He could of faced up to life in prison.
