U.S. Marshals arrested a suspect June 11 in connection with a May assault, according to the Port Arthur Police Department.
Tyler Shane Jackson was booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on an aggravated assault charge.
Police said officers initially responded to a call in which the victim had been assaulted hours earlier. The victim reportedly suffered a severe jaw injury requiring major reconstructive surgery.
Following the investigation, detectives identified Jackson as the suspect. The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office accepted the case and a judge signed an aggravated assault warrant.
