Two men have been arrested and charged in child sex crime cases, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) jail report.
Jeffrey Jacob Abney, 36, was arrested May 28 and charged with sexual assault (bigamy), continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14, possession of child pornography involving 50 or fewer images or videos, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance. Abney remained in the Hardin County Jail under a $2.05 million bond as of press time.
Also recently arrested was Michael Louis Nunn, 59, who was taken into custody May 21 and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14 and indecency with a child by sexual contact. His bond was set at $950,000.
Both Abney and Nunn were arrested by HCSO.

June 1: Quentin Aquino Barnes, 35, burglary of a building (Silsbee Police Department), $2,500 bond; John Allen Avery, 40, assault (SPD), $4,000 bond; Thomas Ray Hubbard Jr., 41, possession of a controlled substance (SPD), $15,000 bond; Megan Renee Haston, 35, prohibited substance in a correctional facility, no bond; Jamichael Tramaine Cruse, 33, two counts of evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle, $16,000 bond.
May 31: Brandy Lajean Johnson, 42, possession of a dangerous drug, DWI and possession of a controlled substance (Department of Public Safety), $3,500 bond;Brent Robert Crow, 44, assault, $4,000 bond; Brianna Monae Christian, 24, resisting arrest and DWI, $2,500 bond.
May 30: Robert Henry Tanton, 62, burglary of a habitation, $20,000 bond; Amber Nichole Hair, 31, burglary of a habitation and theft of property valued at $100 to $750, $5,000 bond.
May 29: Deeia Cherelle Williams, 39, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and theft of a firearm (SPD), no bond; Richard Daniel Cook, 41, theft of property valued at $2,500 to $30,000 (Lumberton Police Department), $30,000 bond.
May 28: Michelle Lee McKeefer, 51, abandoning or endangering a child intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or with criminal negligence, no bond.
May 27: Joshua Keith Swearingen, 41, interference with public duties, possession of a controlled substance and parole violation, $50,000 bond; Casey Michelle Balla-Marshall, 44, continuous violence against the family, $50,000 bond.
May 26: Henry Allen Dill Sr., 61, possession of a controlled substance (SPD), $2,500 bond.
May 23: Ruben Moreno Linares, 43, possession of a controlled substance, failure to identify as a fugitive, possession of marijuana and two counts of burglary of a building (SPD), $105,000 bond.
May 22: Anthony Wayne Arinder, 48, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, no bond.
May 21: James Alan Norris, 57, possession of a controlled substance (SPD), $10,000 bond; Casey Renee Laurent, 33, two counts of failure to identify as a fugitive and possession of a controlled substance.
May 20: Angela Jean Hogue, 47, criminal trespass (Sour Lake PD), $750 bond; Christian Matthew Martinez, 31, DWI, unknown bond; Justin Wyatt Chaison, 24, prohibited substance in a correctional facility and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, no bond.
May 19: Raylyn DeWayne LeBlanc, 25, assault of a family member (Kountze Police Department), $3,500 bond; Jason Anthonie Sinclair, 32, possession of a controlled substance (Lumberton PD), $10,000 bond.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
