Duo arrested in drug bust

Two men were arrested May 14 during a drug bust, according to a Beaumont Police Department (BPD) news release.

At 10 a.m., Beaumont police narcotics detectives, working as part of the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force, conducted simultaneous narcotics search warrants at residences in the 5600 block of Mel Sha Lane and the 2600 block of Emile Street, BPD reported. Arrested were Timothy Singleton, 32, and John Semien, 55, both of Beaumont.

Investigators said Singleton was trafficking narcotics from the Emile Street residence. He was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Semien was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
