GPD: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest, recovery of stolen property

May 5, City Marshal Christopher Robin reported that a man was arrested after an officer with the Groves Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black SUV in the 5200 block of Gulfway Drive.

During the investigation, officers located 11 grams of methamphetamine. The driver, Geraldo Guadalupe Peralta Garcia, 42, of Groves, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams, a second-degree felony.

Robin said the investigation also led to the recovery of stolen property connected to another case in Groves.
