Suspects nabbed in Hardin County

A man remains in jail after he was arrested on drug charges, according to a jail report from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

Duane Eric Gilbert, 46, was arrested April 15 by the Texas Department of Public Safety on three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $150,000.

Other arrests reported by HCSO and other agencies include:

• April 21: Derek Lewis Rheaume, 31, possession of a controlled substance ($25,000 bond)

• April 20: Brad Eugene Barry, 26, two counts of assault of a family member in May 2025 ($7,500 bond); Kelli Leanne Leger, 35, unlawfully carrying a weapon ($1,500 bond)

• April 19: Joseph Leon Hernandez, 54, resisting arrest ($2,500 bond)

• April 18: Joshua Keith Swearingen, 40, possession of a controlled substance and interfering with public duties ($25,000 bond); Kelly Nichole Smith, 46, resisting arrest (no bond); Antonio Ladon Shaw Jr., 24, possession of marijuana ($5,000 bond, Lumberton Police Department); and Harry James Harris, 18, unauthorized use of a vehicle ($5,000 bond, Lumberton PD)

• April 17: David Harold Calloway Jr., 32, criminal trespass ($5,000 bond)

• April 16:  Misty Lynn Ester-Loftin-Davis, 44, possession of a controlled substance ($10,000 bond) and two counts of theft of property valued at $100 to $750 from Smith County ($1 million bond); Sherry Ann Murphy, 28, possession of a controlled substance ($30,000 bond, Silsbee PD); Joshua Kelly Atmar, 48, violation of bond or protective order ($5,000 bond)

• April 14: Mossie Jim Eason, 48, evading arrest, tampering with evidence, and possession of marijuana ($17,000 bond); Jeremy Todd Castleberry, 43, resisting arrest, failure to identify as a fugitive, and parole violation ($10,000 bond); Timothy Maurice Anderson, 34, injury to a child, elderly person or disabled person ($20,000 bond).
