Kendrick Deon Ewing, 37, was arrested without incident at 5:30 a.m. April 16 on two warrants from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and a federal warrant, the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported.
The arrest was carried out in the 4000 block of Laurel Avenue by Beaumont police and the U.S. Marshals Service as part of the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force initiative.
Ewing was wanted on warrants for evading arrest and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was transported to the LaSalle Federal Correctional Facility in Olla, Louisiana.
BPD said the arrest followed extensive coordination among agencies.
