April 14, a Louisiana man was arrested after a traffic stop during which police found more than three pounds of drugs, the Orange Police Department (OPD) reported.
OPD Criminal Interdiction Unit detectives stopped Frank Edward Dotson Jr., 41, of Denham Springs, on Interstate 10 East near the 874 mile marker. A subsequent investigation led to the seizure of two pounds, three ounces (992.2 grams) of methamphetamine; one pound, two ounces (510.2 grams) of cocaine; and 24 bottles of promethazine.
Dotson was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, first-degree felonies.
