A man was arrested April 2 after a search warrant was executed in Nederland, according to Police Chief Rod Carroll.
Carroll said the Nederland Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security executed the warrant in the 500 block of North 36th Street based on a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The investigation involved allegations of an individual uploading child pornography from the address.
Christopher Joseph Houston Smith was charged with possession of child pornography (10 to 50 visual depictions). His bond was set at $800,000.
