April 2, at 1:04 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Concord Road and East Lucas Drive, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
During the stop, officers determined that a passenger, Twanna York, 42, was in possession of suspected marijuana. The driver, Christopher Montgomery, 41, was then removed from the vehicle, and officers conducted a probable cause search.
During the search, officers reportedly located a large quantity of suspected phencyclidine, commonly known as PCP, along with suspected drug paraphernalia.
Montgomery and York were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Jefferson County jail.
