Local travel agent arrested on new charges

Beaumont travel agent/photographer Mary Emily Lockard-Furry took a trip to the Jefferson County Jail on Wednesday, September 18, facing several new charges of theft.

According to public records, Emily Lockard-Fury was arrested on 3 warrants for third-degree felony theft in Jefferson County and four state jail felonies outside of Jefferson County.

As of Thursday afternoon, September 19, Lockard-Furry remained in custody with bonds set at a total of $80,000.

Mary Emily Lockard-Furry is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from Southeast Texas clients as well as several out-of-state victims on behalf of her travel agency Traveluxe Official, and offering nothing in return for massive vacation payments.

Lockard-Furry was previously indicted on theft by deception charges on June 18, 2024.
