Aug. 27, twin brothers were arrested for drug and firearm offenses in Beaumont.
According to the Beaumont Police Department (BPD), at 11:30 a.m. members of the Narcotics Unit, Special Assignment Unit, SWAT and K-9 executed the warrant at a residence in the 2200 block of Ives Street. Two occupants, Donald Barnes and Ronald Barnes, both 57, were reportedly found in possession of approximately 14 ounces of synthetic marijuana and a rifle, which were seized.
Both men were arrested and booked in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence.
