Around 7:30 p.m. June 30, Beaumont Police responded to the 3000 block of Booker Street in reference to a welfare check, according to a news release, where they found a deceased man and a woman who had ingested poison.

Port Arthur police officers responded to the 3400 block of 32nd St. in reference to a shooting on June 28, according to a news release. Officers arrived and located a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Three seriously injured in PA shooting

Around 10:30 p.m. June 26, Port Arthur police responded to Gulfway Drive in reference to multiple calls about a shooting at Lakeview Palms Apartments, according to a news release.  Officers arrived and located a male and two female victims who sustained gunshot wounds.

PA woman stabs her child's father, no charge filed

Around 10:30 p.m. June 26, Port Arthur police responded to Park Central Apartments in reference to a stabbing, according to a news release. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old black man with a stab wound to his lower torso.

Beaumont confirms 57 new COVID-19 cases

Beaumont received 57 positive COVID-19 test results June 26, according to a news release from Mayor Becky Ames. This marks a single day record in the city.  "This is not unexpected, but it is a clear indication that the virus continues to be widespread," the release reads.
