Suspect arrested in Gulfway Drive shooting

PAPD officers have arrested a suspect in reference to the shooting that took place June 26, leaving three seriously injured, according to new releases.

Robert Isaiah Paredes, 22, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to a shooting at Lakeview Palms Apartments on Gulfway Drive. Paredes’ intended target was a female acquaintance at the location, according to police. The suspect allegedly shot “several” other subjects who were in the parking lot.

The case is under investigation.
