Resolution in wrongful death involving Kimberly Langwell

Provost Umphrey Law Firm announces the resolution of a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of Tiffani McInnis, the daughter of Kimberly Langwell, who was murdered in 1999. The lawsuit was filed against Terry Lee Rose Sr., whose was Langwell's boyfriend.

I-10 re-opens

I-10 east, near the Downtown exit in Beaumont, has reopened. Around 7:40 Monday morning an eastbound 18-wheeler was involved on a wreck causing the semi to tip over spilling haz-mat materials onto the interstate.There were no injuries. The interstate was closed for more than five hours.

Beaumont man jailed for Jasper County fatality

A 41-year-old Beaumont man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault following a Saturday night wreck in Jasper County. The DPS says Jessie Arceneaux pulled out of a parking lot on Highway 96 in front of the Black Sheep Saloon in front of an oncoming motorcycle.

Two teens killed in Newton County crash

A collision between a four wheeler and a pickup In Newton County Saturday night claimed the live of two young teens. The DPS reports the four-wheeler was traveling south on the northbound shoulder of Highway 87 approaching a curve. A northbound pickup saw the headlights of the four-wheeler.

After initially announcing no ambulances would be at BISD high school football games this year, the school district has decided to have a ambulance at games. An Acadian Ambulance was at the stadium Thursday night for the Nederland at Beaumont West Brook football game.
