THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Entergy Texas is investing in the future of higher education and workforce development by awarding a total of $10,000 in STEM scholarships to three outstanding students in the Greater Houston and Beaumont area. The scholarships are part of Entergy’s $20 Million Power of Prosperity initiative, which supports HBCUs and Minority-serving Institutions across the Gulf South to help remove barriers to students’ academic success.
The initiative pillars include academic scholarships, workforce development including student internships, mentoring and faculty externships; generational wealth-building; and competitive facility grants and endowments. Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing degrees in high-demand fields such as computer science, information technology, engineering and related disciplines that align with the evolving energy workforce.
