HCSO: May starts with woman nabbed on 7 charges

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) began May with a woman arrested on seven charges, according to an HCSO jail report.Michelle Doreen Jackson, 58, was arrested May 1, and all seven charges stem from 2025 cases in Hardin and Jefferson counties.

Lumberton man arrested for child sex crime

A 35-year-old man was arrested on a child sex crime charge May 12.Anthony David Salazar of Lumberton was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, according to a Hardin County Sheriff’s Office jail report. No other information was available at press time.

GPD: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest, recovery of stolen property

May 5, City Marshal Christopher Robin reported that a man was arrested after an officer with the Groves Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black SUV in the 5200 block of Gulfway Drive.During the investigation, officers located 11 grams of methamphetamine.

Two teenage suspects were arrested in connection with the May 7 fatal shooting at Perlstein Park, 800 Landis Dr.According to the Beaumont Police Department, Jean Harrell, 18, was arrested, and Demarion Smith, 18, turned himself in at the county jail. Both are charged with murder.
