Woman arrested for a 2023 muder in Orange

30-year-old Shambree Nicole Herrin is jailed in Orange County charged with murder. Herrin was arrested last week following her indictment for the May 2023 murder of her boyfriend, 29-year-old Aaron Ray, at a home in the 800 block of Burton in Orange. Ray died from a stab wound to the chest.

Life sentence for Port Arthur man.

A jury in Orange County has sentenced a Port Arthur man to life in prison for murder. 42-year-old Darious ReShard Stevenson has been sentenced for the July 2021 shooting death of Brennon Flores. Flores died from a gunshot wound to the chest in the 1200 block of Shamrock in Vidor.

Houston man sentenced to life for Orange County murder

A Houston man has been sentenced to life in prison for a murder that occurred in Orange. In May of 2025, 22-year-old Robert D'Andre Bill was in the back seat of a car and fired shots into a home in the 2000 block of 6th Street in Orange. One of the bullets struck Charles DeClout in the head.

Felon sentenced to prison

A man shot during his crime is heading to federal prison for 33 months. In August of 2025, 29-year-old Martinez Lamond Baltrip, of Beaumont, pulled a 9mm pistol and fired shots and a man that was working on his car near Avenues G and H in Beaumont.

Fourth arrest in Evadale burglary

A fourth arrest has been made in an Evadale burglary. On Thursday, Jasper County deputies arrested 17-year-old Bryston Brenier, of Silsbee in connection with the August 15 robbery of Mitchell Saw & Supply on Highway 96 in Evadale.

Beaumont man sentenced to federal prison

A felon in possesion of a firearm is heading to prison for more that five years. 23-year-old Christopher Eugene Stelly was arrested in September of 2025 after leading police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle that started on North Major Drive and ended at an apartment complex on French Road.

Update: Shooting in Beaumont

A man is recovering following a shooting in Beaumont. The victim was driving in the area of Magnolia and Rivercrest Wednesday night when a man that he was earlier feuding with saw him and begin firing shots into his vehicle.

Three arrested for Evadale burglary

Three Silsbee men are in the Jasper County Jail charged with burglary of a building. 20-yer-old Tramayne Arline, 19-year-old Ezavion Bass, and 20-year-old Davis Botley are accused breaking into Mitchell Saw and Supply in Evadale on Saturday, Aug 15, 2026.

Suspected drug dealer arrested

A joint investigation between the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Orange Police Department has led to the arrest of a man suspected of dealing cocaine in Orange County. The suspect, Bryan Nichols, fled on foot, while being served a warrant.

SETX Violent Task Force conducts operation

Aug. 14 and 15, the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force conducted a directed crime suppression operation in the 6200 block of Phelan Boulevard in Beaumont, the parking lot area of Little Woodrow’s.“The operation focused on maintaining a visible law enforcement in the area,” the agency reported.
