There were six people arrested on felony charges recently, according to the Lumberton Police Department.June 1, Payton Benjamin Davis-Gentry, 23, was arrested on two counts of deadly conduct (discharging firearm), a third-degree felony.

Delivery driver arrested for sexual assault

On May 27, the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported Aaron Middleton, 28, was arrested for sexual assault at Jefferson County Corrections Facility.Officers responded to the 2200 block of North Street in reference to a sexual assault., at around 10:28 a.m., according to BPD.

BPD seeking public's help in fatal accident

The Beaumont Police Department (BPD) is seeking the public's help in a fatal hit-and-run crash on May 24. At 5:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue C in response to an accident involving a bicyclist.
