Two arrested in Beaumont robbery

From Beaumont Police Department:

On Thursday, March 14, 2024 Beaumont Police responded to the 2300 block of North Street in reference to a robbery of an individual.

Investigation revealed that the victim was sleeping in his tent when he woke up to the sound of two suspects stealing his bicycle. When the victim confronted the suspects (a black male and a white female), the male insinuated that he had a gun. The victim feared for his life and the suspects fled the area with the victim's bicycle and other stolen property.

Officers located the suspects in the area of 7th and Dollinger, where they were taken into custody. 

The suspects were identified as 30-year-old James Roberts and 33-year-old Gabriella Rogers. 

Both suspects were placed under arrest and transported to BPD to speak with detectives prior to being transported to the Jefferson County Correction Facility for aggravated robbery.
