Traffic stop nets drugs, guns and $200K

April 14, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported the seizure of narcotics, firearms and a large amount of cash following a traffic stop.

A Highway Interdiction Unit deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 10. A K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search.

Authorities found narcotics, approximately $200,000 in cash and several firearms, all of which were seized. The investigation remains ongoing.
