The Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force conducted a proactive saturation operation May 13 in areas of Beaumont identified as having increased criminal activity.
According to officials, the operation focused on increasing law enforcement visibility, supporting patrol operations, deterring criminal behavior, and identifying offenders through proactive enforcement.
During the operation, officers conducted 32 traffic stops, made five arrests, served one felony warrant and seized one firearm.
Investigators also seized felony quantities of illegal narcotics, including methamphetamine and marijuana.
