At approximately 7:45 a.m., March 24, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Rafes Way in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers located a 31-year-old male subject inside of a residence with apparent fatal injuries. Detectives arrived on scene and the preliminary investigation led to the description of a possible suspect vehicle. Real Time Crime Center were able to utilize the city license plate readers and Officers later located the vehicle in the 5400 block of Pine Street.
The suspect, 17-year-old Bryson Parkerson, was taken into custody without incident. Parkerson is being placed under arrest for Tampering with Evidence in connection to the homicide. Detectives believe there are more parties involved and further charges to follow.
