May 5 at 3:41 p.m., Beaumont Police Department officers were conducting proactive patrol operations in the 2000 block of North 11th Street when they investigated a suspicious vehicle driven by Thomas Shoemaker, 61.
Officers discovered a “significant quantity” of suspected methamphetamine. Further investigation revealed Shoemaker also had an active parole violation warrant.
Shoemaker was taken into custody without incident.
