OPD: Three in custody in shooting

March 22, three people, including a juvenile, were arrested in connection to a shooting, reported Sgt. Isaac T. Henry III, of the Orange Police Department (OPD),

At 11:10 p.m., OPD officers were called to the 2400 block of 8th Street in reference to reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

During the investigation, it was determined that the shooting stemmed from an earlier altercation and subsequent retaliation. Investigators identified several individuals involved in the incident, who were later taken into custody.

Tylan Jor'nel Lightfoot, 21, of Louisiana, was charged with engaging in organized criminal activity (deadly conduct), a second-degree felony; and Larry Isaiah Phillips, 17, of Orange, was charged with deadly conduct, a third-degree felony.

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with engaging in organized criminal activity (deadly conduct).
