OC man under $1.66M bond for child sex crimes

A 36-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges for child sex crimes, according to the Orange County Jail report.

Edward Anthony Hoffman III, was arrested and jailed Feb. 27 for two counts each of possession of child pornography with two or more previous convictions, two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and three counts of possession with intent to promote child pornography. Hoffman's total bond was set at $1.66 million.

In August 2025, the Vidor man was arrested in Montgomery County on child pornography and sexual assault charges. Additionally, he was indicted on Aug. 13, 2025, on two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two charges of possession of child pornography.
