May 25, at approximately 6:49 p.m., officers from the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers were dispatched to High Times, located at 5925 Phelan Blvd., in reference to an aggravated robbery in progress.
According to information from BPD, initial reports to police from multiple callers indicated several armed suspects wearing hoodies and ski masks were seen walking eastbound away from the business prior to officers’ arriving on scene.
Responding officers quickly located the suspects and took four individuals into custody without incident. During the investigation, officers recovered two firearms, BPD reported.
Two makes juveniles were arrested in connection to the incident, as well as 17-year-old suspects Derek Westbrooks and Nehemiah Broussard, both of Beaumont.
