Federal inmates indicted for prison murder

Four federal inmates have been charged with murder in the Eastern District of Texas.

Feb. 5, Conrad Edward Nedd, also known as CJ, 41; Jeremy Crow, 32; Ramon James Ybarra, also known as Apache, 35; and Curtis Ray McClendon, 43; were named in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury this week in the Eastern District of Texas, charging all four with murder.

The indictment alleges that, on Nov. 21, 2025, the inmates were involved in an altercation resulting in the death of another inmate at the Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont. If convicted, the defendants each face up to life in federal prison.
