On May 27, the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported Aaron Middleton, 28, was arrested for sexual assault at Jefferson County Corrections Facility.
Officers responded to the 2200 block of North Street in reference to a sexual assault., at around 10:28 a.m., according to BPD. The victim reported she ordered groceries from a local store and had them delivered to her residence. The delivery driver, later identified as Middleton, arrived at the residence, and brought the groceries into the victim’s residence. Once inside, Middleton sexually assaulted the victim then fled the scene. The victim immediately called 911.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and Middleton by entering the vehicle's license plate into BPD's Flock system. Special Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene and interviewed Middleton. After admissions were made by Middleton and evidence located during the investigation, detectives obtained a probable cause affidavit to arrest Middleton.
