Shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday, June 1, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a 911 call in reference to a robbery at OJ’s Mobile Mart store, located at 9508 Highway 12 in Orange.

Missing child alert: Beaumont

Update: Located.  Beaumont police are asking for help to locate a missing 8-year-old child.  Prestyn Anthony Montano, a Hispanic male, was last seen in the 5200 block of Park View around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19. He was wearing a black t-shirt with “23” on it, jeans and no shoes.

Police seek suspects in Beaumont drive-by shooting

Thursday, May 14, Beaumont police officers responded to a victim of a shooting at 4490 Magnolia, D&D Drive In sometime around 10:22 p.m. A male victim was located inside the business with a gunshot wound. EMS transported this victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital and he was listed in stable condition.

COVID testing for PA residents

The City of Port Arthur and Jefferson County will be providing free coronavirus testing in Port Arthur at the Downtown Pavilion on Proctor Street on Wednesday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone wishing to be tested will need to pre-register by calling (409) 550-2536.

Driver dies as result of Buna crash

May 1, at approximately 1 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of US 96 and CR 784 in Jasper County. The crash occurred approximately four miles south of Buna.

Bolivar beaches back for business

Galveston County announced the unincorporated areas of beachfront, which includes the Bolivar Peninsula are back open for recreational use. "Beaches in the unincorporated areas of Galveston County have been reopened effective April 13th, 2020," reads a county notice.
