Jan. 9, at approximately 11 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 90, near Rice Field Road, in Jefferson County. The preliminary DPS crash investigations indicates that a 2019 Hyundai SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 90.

Just one bidder made a ploy for the purchase of Jefferson County’s Ford Park Entertainment Complex when bids were open at 11 a.m. Nov. 6.  Purchasing staff opened the lone bid packet, submitted by Port Arthur Renaissance GP LLC, revealing a bid below the minimum asked.

Aug. 31, the Port Arthur and Jefferson County health departments reported two additional COVID-19 related deaths – one, a Port Arthur white male resident between the ages of 80 and 85, the other a white male Nederland resident between the ages of 60 and 65.
