Second person dies from weekend wreck

A second person has died from injuries sustained in an early Sunday ( Sept 19 ) crash in Beaumont. Police report 20-year-old Trent Korman, an Orange County resident, died Monday ( Sept 21). Korman lost control of his vehicle in the 6700 block of Bigner and struck a flatbed trailer.

One-Month-old dies from apparent dog attack

The Orange County Sheriff's office is investigating the death of a one-month-old girl as a possible dog attack. Just before 3:00 am Saturday morning, (September 19, 2026), deputies were called to a residence in the 4300 block of Bertie Street north of Vidor in reference to a baby not breathing.

Fatality in Beaumont

Beaumont police have identified the victim from an early Saturday ( Sept 19, 2026 ) crash. 21-year old Alyssa Messina, of Vidor, was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed in the 6700 of Bigner Road when the drive lost control on a curve and struck a flatbed trailer. She died at the scene.

Beaumont storm debris clean-up reaches 80% completion

The City of Beaumont continues to make progress on trash collection and storm debris cleanup following Tropical Storm Edouard, that hit Outheast Texas on September 1. As of Friday, Sept 18, regular residential garbage collection is on schedule, and crews have completed this week’s routes.
