A second person has died from injuries sustained in an early Sunday ( Sept 19 ) crash in Beaumont. Police report 20-year-old Trent Korman, an Orange County resident, died Monday ( Sept 21). Korman lost control of his vehicle in the 6700 block of Bigner and struck a flatbed trailer. A passenger in the car, 21-year-old Alyssa Messina of Vidor, died at the scene. Prior to the crash, police were called to the area of the Salt Water Barrier in reference to a disturbance. As police arrived several vehicles, including the vehicle that crashed, were fleeing the scene.
