Orange County fire

Highway 87 in Orange has reopened following an early Tuesday morning fire at Beckett & Beckett Inc, near the Orange County Airport. The industrial plastic & rubber recycling and polymer facility caught fire around 1:00am. Firefighters from multiple agencies were on the for several hours.

Bodies identified

Beaumont police have released the names of a man and woman found dead inside a vehicle Saturday, Aug, 15 in the 8000 block of Wilcox Lane. They have been identified as 62-year-old Anastasia Oliver and 38-year-old Lawrence Edward Oliver Jr.

Man charged with murder and other crimes in Port Neches

A Port Arthur man is jailed on multiple charges, including murder. The first call came in around 10:30 Sunday morning about a naked man entering an apartment at the Ridgewood Apartments in Port Neches without permission and was breaking out windows from inside the apartment.

Auto crimes in Beaumont down over past 12 months.

Auto burglaries and thefts are down over the past 12 months in Beaumont. From January to August of 2026, 209 auto burglaries and 118 unauthorized use of a motor vehicle were reported in the city.

Body recovered in Lake Sam Rayburn

Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard confirms the body of a missing man has been recovered in Lake Sam Rayburn. The body of 57-year-old Paulo Patoja was found Sunday morning.

Three year old dies from injuries

West Orange Police report a three year old boy that was struck by a pickup Saturday night has died from his injuries. Assistant Chief of Police Jessie Romero says the child was standing by his father at Murphy's Fuel Station in the 3100 block of Edgar Brown Drive.

Murder in Beaumont

A Beaumont man is dead following a Saturday night shooting in North Beaumont and the alleged gunman is jailed. Police were called to the 3900 block of Broadmore and found 43-year-old Kenlyn Faulk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

Hero pulls child from burning vehicle

A good samaritan help save the life of a little girl following a wreck Friday morning. The driver left the road into a wooded area in the 2200 block of Major Drive in Beaumont.  The vehicle caught fire.

Death investigation

A death investigation is underway in Beaumont. Police conducted a welfare check just befpre 1:00 Saturday afternoon in the 8000 block of Wilcox Lsne, off of Delaware Street. At the scene, officers discovered the bodies of an adult male and adult female.

Police identify hit and run victim

Beaumont police have released the name of a man that was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night. 38-year-old Justin Balka was crossing the street in the 2900 block of Washington Blvd. when a vehicle struck him. Balka died at the scene. The vehicle that hit. him left the scene.
