Beaumont police reportedly arrested a 43-year-old resident with 800 grams of heroin in his possession.

According to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department (BPD), on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 5:13 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of Lucas Drive and Concord Road in Beaumont. After conducting a traffic stop on the suspect, identified as Glenn Lewis, officers discovered more than 800 grams of suspected heroin and a stolen firearm.

Officers arrested Lewis and transported him to the Jefferson County jail. He was booked for possession of a controlled substance on a $100,000 bond and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on a $30,000 bond.
