The Silsbee Police Department reported an elderly man was arrested recently.
Jan. 20, Norman Dean Land, 87, was arrested for criminal mischief, $2,500-$30,000, a state jail felony.
Five others were also arrested on various charges recently.
Jan. 19, Chadwick Wayne Smith, 38, was arrested for theft by check, $100-$750 (Class B misdemeanor). Jan. 17, Julie Anne Whitmire, 48, Jayme Houston Barton, 31, and David Harold Calloway Jr., 29, were each arrested for possession of controlled substance, Penalty Group 1/1B, 1-4 grams, all third-degree felonies.
Jan. 16, Sonny Wilber Williams Jr., 28, was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon (Class A).
