Beaumont police have arrested two suspects in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred July 16 in the 3000 block of Corley Street.
According to the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) at approximately 5:26 p.m. July 16, officers responded to the 3000 block of Corley in reference to a report of shots fired. The preliminary investigation indicates an elderly male was driving through the intersection when a suspect discharged a firearm toward his vehicle. The bullet narrowly missed the victim’s head, BPD reported.
Through coordination with the city’s Real Time Crime Center, a suspect vehicle was identified and located within hours of the shooting, BPD advised.
The first suspect, 23-year-old Ray’Darin Glaude, was arrested within hours of the incident and charged with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony. Following an ongoing investigation, detectives later identified 20-year-old Michael Doyle as a second suspect in the shooting.
July 20, investigators obtained an arrest warrant charging Doyle with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony.
Police said patrol officers located Doyle on July 21 and took him into custody without incident. After being interviewed by detectives, he was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
The investigation remains ongoing.
