Eco-Fest Earth Day celebration to take place April 25

The Shangri La Botanical Gardens & Nature Center will host its Eco-Fest celebration and Butterfly Release in honor of Earth Day on Saturday, April 25th, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., located at 2111 W. Park Ave. in Orange.

Activate the Park event to take place April 25

As a part of the BeWell Beaumont initiative, the City of Beaumont Recreation Department invites residents to its “Activate the Park" event on April 25 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Central Park on 4th Street. The event is a free, family-friendly community event focused on fun, fitness, and connection.

‘Nature Challenge’ kicks off April 24

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), through the Texas Nature Trackers program, invites all Texans to participate in a four-day outdoor focused community event involving 16 Texas metropolitan areas for the 11th year of the City Nature Challenge, from April 24-27.

The Eastgate Church's Spanish Church, Iglesia De Eastgate, will host a flavor, family and faith festival March 21 from 1-4 p.m. The food that will be served includes tacos, tamales and more. Iglesia De Eastgate is located at 185 Camp St. in Vidor.

The Nederland Heritage Festival returns March 10-15. The festival's days of operation are Tuesday-Friday from 4-11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Sunday from Noon-6 p.m.Admission is free, but certain activities will require tickets.

Treasure hunt begins for Nederland Heritage Festival

As part of the Nederland Heritage Festival, the festival's Treasure Hunt Extravaganza returns on March 9.Clues will be posted at the Nederland Police Department starting at 7 p.m., and will be updated daily until the treasure is found. The winning prize is $500. No daily prizes will be awarded.
