A Beaumont man has pleaded guilty to murder. 30-year-old Taji Meyers appeared in front of District Court Judge John Stevens Monday, Sept 28, and entered the plea for the May 12, 2023 shooting death of 24-year-old Atrail Vallian at Babe Zaharias Park in Beaumont.
Witnesses identified Meyers as the shooter. He was arrested five days later without incident. Meyers faces five to 50 years in prison. The sentences will follow a pre-sentencing report. That report is expected to be completed next month.
