Testimony begins Tuesday ( Sept 29 ) in the trial of 26-year-old Marvin Parker, one of two men accused of attacking and robbing a Beaumont man.
On December 23, 2023 the victim was walking in the 3700 block of East Lucas when two men jumped out of a car and knocked the victim to the ground. The victim was hit with fists and a pistol during the attack and robbed of several hundred dollars.
Parker was arrested in February 2024 after being identified in a photo lineup. If convicted, Parker faces five to 99 years or life in prison. The trial is in Judge John Stevens courtroom.
