A jury in Orange County has convicted 49-year-old Adrian Echevarria for murdering an Orange County woman he met on a dating app while he was in prison. The victim, 61-year-old Bambi Carmane was found beaten to death on her Rose City property in August of 2025. She offered Echevarria a place to stay following his release from prison. He was released from federal prison in mid-2025 after serving time on a drug conviction and moved to Orange County where he met Carmane. He faces up to life in prison. The punishment phase is underway.
