A Beaumont man has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison as part of a Homeland Security Task Force investigation for trafficking methamphetamine. According to. information presented in federal court, from December 2022 through November 2024, 42-year-old Darrell Joshua Bendy, supplied kilogram qualities of methamphetamine to a drug trafficker in Beaumont. During the investigation, law enforcement seized more than five kilograms and over $100,000 in cash. It is believed that between 20-30 kilograms have been distributed as part of this drug trafficking conspiracy. Bendy pleaded guilty to conspiracy to posses with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 480 months by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone on September 2, 2026
