The Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force conducted Crime Suppression Operation Aug 25 - Aug 26 throughout Beaumont and Mid-County. The operation focused on locations identified through law enforcement intelligence, citizen complaints, and recent criminal activity.
The operation utilized of overt and covert enforcement strategies aime at deterring criminal activity, increasing law enforcement visibility, and addressing violations observed during the operation.
Combined results over the four day operation:
84 traffic stops, seven citations, 14 arrests involving charges of possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest, assault-family violence, unlawfully carrying a weapon, parole violations, felony warrants, and city warrants. Two firearms were also seized,
