The DPS has released the name of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle Friday night in Orange County. 59-year-old Jerry Johnson, of Vidor, stepped in front of a Jeep that was traveling north of FM 105, near Sunnydale Road north of Vidor. Johnson was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont where he died. The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old Kountze woman was not hurt.
